About us

NWKLEUS is managed by the volunteers of Kilmarnock North West Community Partnership

What is NWKLEUS?

Pronounced as 'nucleus', NWKLEUS is more than just a community centre - we are the epicentre! We chose the name NWKLEUS because of our connection to North West Kilmarnock and the definition of a nucleus being the central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth.

This is what we believe a community centre should be.

Our Team

We are run by volunteers from the local community who are passionate about improving the facilities and amenities within our area.

Volunteer with us

We are always on the lookout for new skills and opportunities and can provide training, references and qualifications.

How we operate

Kilmarnock North West Community Partnership is a registered charity owned and operated by members who appoint the Board of Trustees. Anyone that lives, works or studies in North West Kilmarnock is eligible to become a member. Being a member does not mean you have to be a volunteer with us but it does give you the rights to vote at our AGM and receive quarterly updates about our progress.

Sign up today to have your say in how NWKLEUS is managed and stay alert with our progress and changes.

Community Asset Transfer

We are in the midst of an Asset Transfer of NWKLEUS from East Ayrshire Council. This is a 5 year deal under which Kilmarnock North West Community Partnership will establish a business plan and set out a long-term sustainable model for operating and managing the centre for years to come. By becoming a member, you can pledge your support to keep the centre in the community for local people across Kilmarnock to benefit from.
